Biliteracy FTW
To tackle your most pressing challenges around biliteracy instruction.
Biliteracy operates from the premise that if we are to invest in the full language development of our MLLs, then balancing literacy across two languages is the best way to go.
Drawing upon the fundamental principles of paired literacy instruction, we will tackle the components of what makes biliteracy effective, what programmatic adjustments will need to be made, and offer recommendations on curricula that either endorse (or detract) from a healthy biliteracy program. You’ll also get a field-tested observation protocol with coaching on how to assess teacher performance on the key components.
In this workshop, You will get:
Biliteracy Activities
A series of biliteracy activities and planning tools to help teachers level up their routines and lesson plans.
classroom walkthrough
using the Biliteracy observation protocol, and get key growth areas for each participating teacher [NOTE: this option only for on-site trainings.]
FAQ for biliteracy components
Keynote + Case study examples

Teacher attitudes and beliefs around language are explored, asking them to invite fresh, new identities as bilinguals into their classrooms.
